Description: The National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) provides national and state-level estimates on the use of tobacco products, alcohol, illicit drugs (including non-medical use of prescription drugs) and mental health in the United States.

Population: National representative sample of approximately 70,000 persons ages 12 and older.

Periodicity: Data collected annually since 1971.  Data available for 1996-2017. (Information adapted from the publisher)
